It has to be said that I am rather fussy when it comes to the contents of my handbag, I like everything to have its place so that I can reach exactly for that thing at a moment’s notice. My iPhone is the same, I have all of my apps and photos in folders clearly labeled with what they hold. Perhaps I’m anal? Over-organised? Have-no-life? Possibly all three, but anyway here is the contents of my handbag…
The handbag that I’m using at the moment and considering my “summer bag”, although sadly the weather isn’t committing to it as efficiently as I, is by Nadia Minkoff. It’s such a cute bag for Summer and the lining is just as gorgeous…
Obviously first to mention of the actual contents is the most important: Beauty products. Here I’m being fancy and showing off my delicious new Chanel lipstick, but I generally carry around whichever lipstick I’m wearing that day. I also carry around a perfume dispenser (mine is from Sephora) which is such a handy device. You basically just decant your perfume into it and you can take it with you on the go so you don’t have to worry about carrying around full bottles of perfume. As you can see, it is the same size as a lipstick so really convenient.
I always carry a notebook around with me in my handbag, I find that writing notes in an actual book is much more tangible and satisfying that making a quick note on your phone. This leather notebook is from Home Sense.
Boring items to mention: obviously my purse and keys, I mean that’s a no brainer, right? My purse is from TKMaxx (doesn’t have a brand name on it, sorry!).
And last but not least, my life savers. My iPhone and my Filofax. We may have established by now that I’m a bit of an organisational freak so I like to keep my Filofax with me at all times, mine is the Filofax Pocket in Finsbury leather. My phone is the iPhone 4S.
My Zara obsession continues…. I didn’t intend on buying anything when I went into Zara last week; but as we all know, Zara and temptation go hand in hand. I saw these shoes and fell in love. The slightly stacked heel is a comfortable height and i love the mirrored ankle strap. I have a problem with ankle straps as I’m only 5’1 so they tend to make my legs look too short or chunky but the mirrored strap on these completely hides that. And the best part? They were only £19.99. Can you believe that?!
I was recently asked to write a guest feature on They Say, an online fashion magazine. I wrote about my top five style icons, check it out here!

With such uncharacteristically gorgeous weather here in the UK over the past few days, (although as I write this I can see some angry clouds looming) I decided to go for a walk around my hometown, Cambridge, and take some photos. Whenever I’m in Cambridge I mainly head straight to Zara-H&M-Costa-Topshop-AllSaints-Boots-MAC and then probably head home (after one more peep in Zara, just one more) but this time I decided to actually stop and look around me.
I see these buildings all the time and yet I don’t actually see them. Cambridge is, in actual fact, a really beautiful place and I thought I would share some photos here.
I picked this shirt up from Zara last weekend and I really love it, it’s so versatile and goes with so many things. The cardigan is a wraparound in grey that i also bought in black. I had a similar one from H&M from a couple of years ago that I wore so much that its poor life ended after much love. The necklace is one that I’ve featured on here before, it’s a really cool coin charm necklace from H&M. There seems to be a Zara/H&M theme going on here….
Clearing out my room recently, I discovered (well, reiterated) that I have excessive amounts of just about everything (20 pairs of sunglasses, 55 pairs of shoes, 19 pairs of jeans, 50 lipsticks, 10 handbags etc.) and nail polishes was not an exception. I feel naked without my nails painted, even if it’s just a simple nude, and I generally get bored quickly with my nail colour after only a few days meaning I never feel guilty about buying a new one.
I went shopping on Saturday and bought this new polish from Topshop and it’s definitely in my top 3 polishes of all time. It’s so unique! It’s called ‘Dancing in the Dark’ and is grey with white flecks in it and is such good quality I feel like Topshop makeup in general is so underrated over on YouTube and in the blogosphere, people don’t generally talk about it too much, but their nail polishes are really, really good!
Long lasting, highly pigmented, and thousands of colours to choose from, Topshop nail polishes are, at £5 and £6 worth every penny.

Summer is here (although the grey clouds and low temperatures here in England suggest otherwise) which means it’s time to revamp our Winter wardrobes – If you live in most other countries you would’ve done this months ago, but this is the land where Spring and Autumn do not exist; the months simply seem to have no definition. Below are my top picks for Spring and Summer – I am absolutely loving the new collection from & Other Stories, I want every single piece!
