PRINTED JEANS MANIA!

Printed jeans have become such a huge deal over the past few seasons and right now the trend is at it’s peak. The thing about jeans in general is that they are such a staple in (almost) anyone’s wardrobe (Daphne Guinness aside) and oh-so easily accessible. As for printed jeans, both the high street and high end market have some amazing versions, most of which will suit anyone with an ounce of flair. My own collection of printed jeans is in itself, extensive, and they’re always great conversation starters from people who love them, people who hate them and people who “don’t get” them. I for one love them, and for what my opinion is worth, feel that printed jeans will always be fab. Rest assured, I’ll be rocking printed skinnies when I’m in my 60s.

I tried to find my favourite 10 pairs of printed jeans on the internet and finally found them, after much umming and erring over deciding which ones to include (as there are easily about 76 pairs I could’ve chosen). I’ll put links in the captions so you can go ahead and purchase them too!

So there is my top 10 favourite printed jeans! I apologize that they’re all in a big looooooooong column, WordPress was playing silly beggars with me. The thrill about printed jeans is that they can be dressed up with heels and a blazer and tons of jewelery, dressed down in the winter with biker boots, thick socks and a scarf or thrown on in the summer with the cuffs rolled up and a pair of Havaianas.

Let me know where you stand on printed jeans! Which ones are your favourites?

I WANT YOU ALL OVER ME LIKE L.A.M.B.

If someone was to ask me who my ultimate style icon is, it would definitely be Gwenny Gwen Gwen. Ms Stefani has, in my opinion, THE best, most fab, classiest, coolest wardrobe in the world of celebland and I would DIE to have a piece of that closet. Gwen’s latest collection for L.A.M.B has “Gwen Stefani” written all over it, I can imagine her wearing every single look from the whole collection which is what I love about it. It’s all Gwen, and therefore I’m totally into it.

Featuring black and white paired with splashes of electric blue, sharp tailoring with sky-high heels, studded accessories and of course some tartan to boot, the collection was seemlessly perfect.

It frustrates me when celebrities bring out clothing lines just for a dollaaahh or two more (or a few million) than they already have, but Gwen Stefani is different. She took a back seat on the designing side of things a few seasons ago to make more time for her family and other career as the frontwoman of ultra-cool band No Doubt, but the label is still ALLLL Gwen.

I loooove this collection, one of my highlights from A/W13. I just wish I could afford that AMAZING blue suit with the shirt and tie. And that back and white bag. And that leather frilled skirt. And those tartan tailored trousers. Oh alright, I wish I could afford all (or any) of it!

WE’VE FOUND NEMO

… And it’s been wreaking havoc in New Yawwk for Fashion Week. Many members of Fashion’s elite set have been no doubt panicking in their Louboutins this week, which they refuse to take off in the trechorous NY weather. Storms and blizzards aside however, this fashion week so far has brought much drama, glamour and gorgeousness to the fashion world! More blogs to come from this season so far from NYC! I cant wait to share my favourite shows!

Even a blizzard won’t stop the fash pack from rocking the Blahniks.

AWKWARD HELLO’S AND SAD GOODBYE’S…

Hello to my fellow bloggers, friends, fashionistas and magpie’s!

As my first blog post, I’m going to introduce myself by telling you a little bit about me, letting you seep into my brain for a twinkling instant!

As it stands, I’m a 17 year old girl, one day hopefully a successful fashion writer and journalist! My fashion-life began when I was 9 years old, seeing Vivienne Westwood walking down Kensington High Street one evening… Intrigue is only a small fraction of what I felt. Since then my fashion obsession has reached a particular high as I’ve recently created a fashion journalism portfolio to show at university interviews (pieces of which I will later post here on this blog.) I thoroughly enjoyed the process of creating it and it is basically what inspired me to create this blog.

Let’s talk about my blog name: HNNH NYC or HNNH_NYC as it is on Twitter… My name is Hannah (hence HNNH) and the NYC part is just a reference to where I am determined to make it in my career. I feel like an NYC girl at heart.

I’ve titled this post “Awkward Hello’s and Sad Goodbye’s”. Now that I guess the “Awkward Hello’s” is over with, I’ll move onto the “Sad Goodbye’s”. Three days ago I had to put my beloved Greyhound to sleep, literally broke my heart. Moving on from that and feeling energized, I feel starting a fashion blog in the way I want to do it will help me concentrate my thoughts into something else, something useful that could help me with my career.

Well after that introduction, I think it’s time to sign off and start blogging for real! I hope you enjoy my blog, feedback is greatly appreciated! My email is HNNH_NYC@live.co.uk if you wish to ask me questions or give me inspiration for future blog posts!

xoxo
