PRINTED JEANS MANIA!

Printed jeans have become such a huge deal over the past few seasons and right now the trend is at it’s peak. The thing about jeans in general is that they are such a staple in (almost) anyone’s wardrobe (Daphne Guinness aside) and oh-so easily accessible. As for printed jeans, both the high street and high end market have some amazing versions, most of which will suit anyone with an ounce of flair. My own collection of printed jeans is in itself, extensive, and they’re always great conversation starters from people who love them, people who hate them and people who “don’t get” them. I for one love them, and for what my opinion is worth, feel that printed jeans will always be fab. Rest assured, I’ll be rocking printed skinnies when I’m in my 60s.

I tried to find my favourite 10 pairs of printed jeans on the internet and finally found them, after much umming and erring over deciding which ones to include (as there are easily about 76 pairs I could’ve chosen). I’ll put links in the captions so you can go ahead and purchase them too!

So there is my top 10 favourite printed jeans! I apologize that they’re all in a big looooooooong column, WordPress was playing silly beggars with me. The thrill about printed jeans is that they can be dressed up with heels and a blazer and tons of jewelery, dressed down in the winter with biker boots, thick socks and a scarf or thrown on in the summer with the cuffs rolled up and a pair of Havaianas.

Let me know where you stand on printed jeans! Which ones are your favourites?

SURPRISING NEW LOOK.

It has to be said, I’ve never really been a fan of New Look. In the small town where I live, the only “good” shop is a teeny tiny New Look and because of that, when I was at school everyone used to wear the same thing. Now I’ve never been one to conform (I cut all my hair off, and I mean ALL of it when I was 9 or 10) and so New Look just never appealed to me. However lo and behold, the tables have turned. I don’t know who is in charge of designing the jewellery at New look at the moment but they’re doing a damn good job of it!

I was browsing Pinterest one day last week, as usual, and I came across this photo:

I thought to myself “Wow! That necklace is to DIE FOR!” Thinking it was going to probably be about a gazillion pounds I repinned it as I do with every other dreamable item I see on there and didn’t think about it any more (for fear of subequently becoming severely depressed at how poor I am). It wasn’t until that evening when I sat down with my mum and showed her it that she said “I saw that in New Look!”. Not believing her, she made me go on the website and look for it and guess what? It was bloody there! And only £20!!! As I scrolled down the pages and pages of jewellery, there was surprisingly, very few (if any) that I DISliked!

So here is my selection of favourites of ethnic/tribal style pieces from New Look’s current season, as you’ll see they’re such affordable yet effective pieces! I’ll DEFINITELY be adding some to my already mountainous collection!
